Torre San Giovanni

The pedagogical spot par excellence in Salento. A shallow lagoon protected by a sandbank creates ideal conditions for learning. The Maestrale thermal wind sets in at midday with remarkable regularity from June to September, blowing between 15 and 20 knots. In winter, the southeast Sirocco brings more committed conditions with medium to strong waves.

Porto Cesareo

The most famous spot in Puglia. Porto Cesareo offers two distinct zones: the La Strea lagoon with its water flat as a mirror, perfect for freestyle and foil, and the main bay with its waves on the outer reef. In winter, the southeast Sirocco generates powerful conditions with medium to large waves. Protected marine area with strict regulations.

Gallipoli — Baia Verde

Baia Verde, south of Gallipoli, is the main kite spot on the central Ionian coast. The fine sand beach offers easy water entry. The spot works with several wind orientations, notably Sirocco and Libeccio. The tourist infrastructure of Gallipoli (restaurants, accommodations, nightlife) makes it an ideal base for a kite stay.

Torre Mozza

Torre Mozza, located between Gallipoli and Torre San Giovanni, offers a fine sand beach with calm and shallow water. It is an excellent spot for beginners and intermediates. The Locals Salento Kitesurf school is based here and offers courses for all levels. The spot is less crowded than its neighbors, offering more space on the water.

Frigole

When the Tramontana blows from the north, Frigole transforms into a playground for experienced riders. The long and regular swell (1 to 2 meters) offers perfect conditions for wave-riding and committed jumps. The spot is uncrowded, offering a rare sense of freedom. San Foca

A versatile spot that works with several wind orientations. The Grecale (northeast) creates an ideal chop for freestyle and jumps. The complete tourist infrastructure (nearby harbor, accommodations, restaurants) makes it a comfortable base for a kite stay on the Adriatic coast.

Frassanito

Frassanito is a wild spot on the Adriatic coast, between the Alimini lakes and the sea. North winds can easily exceed 20 knots, strengthening by 5 to 6 knots in the afternoon. The spot offers committed conditions with waves and current, reserved for experienced riders.

Alimini, near Otranto, benefits from the Otranto channel thermals which strengthen north winds. The spot offers a beautiful sandy beach with varied conditions depending on the wind strength. The AK Scuola KiteSurf school is based here and offers courses for intermediates and advanced riders.
